Abflug Launches New Aero Kit for Nissan GT-R R35

Adding to the huge variety of performance and styling packages on offer for the Nissan GT-R, Japan's gracelessly named Abflug (unless there's a different meaning in the Japanese language) released a new aero kit for the R35 sports car. The complete package consists of a front lip spoiler, new side skirts, a rear apron housing the diffuser, all finished in black. There's also a carbon fiber rear wing and if we translated correctly, an optional set of new alloy wheels. Full gallery after the jump.

Extra-Terrestrial Vehicle: A Chevy Aveo of the Third Kind

The Extra-Terrestrial Vehicle or ETV -we're not even kidding, that's the car's official name- is a futuristic-looking custom build created by Mike Vetter and his Florida-based company, 'The Car Factory'. It's hard to believe it just by looking at the ETV, but underneath that sci-fi outfit you'll find a Chevrolet Aveo stripped out of its body but not its heart.

EVT Chevrolet AveoMike, who also works on Carrera GT replica bodies for the Porsche Boxster, claims on his website that buyers can opt either for an Aveo or a Boxster donor car. Somehow though, we find it hard to believe that anyone would give up a Porsche, no matter how many thousands of time they've seen Captain Kirk and Spock fighting off intruders from other planets.

But even in the case that the Chevy Aveo is the donor car, the ETV will most likely alienate you with its 'out of this world' price. We discovered that the Florida-based company has listed a completed ETV on eBay with a 'Buy it Now' price of just... $86,000. Cool but not $86k cool.

Video Galore: New Opel Astra Interior, Trailers and Interviews

Once upon a time not too long ago, you'd consider yourself lucky if you found a single official video of a newly presented car. Nowadays, carmakers churn them out like sausages at a factory. Only today, along with the first official interior shots of the Astra, Opel released five new videos on its hatchback. Something tells us that most will stop at the first animated film showing the Astra's interior, but for those that might be interested, there's four more films including an interview with Mark Adams, VP of Design at GM Europe and with John Puskar, Director of Interior Design. The latter seems like the kind of guy who'd design a really, really, relaxed cabin...

Honda Updates Stream MPV, Adds Sporty RST Version to the Range

Honda Stream MPV RST 2010It's mid-life facelift time for the Honda Stream, a Japanese market compact MPV with three rows of seats that looks like a cross between a people carrier and a station wagon model. The subtly refreshed Stream gains a restyled front bumper, a new grille, upgraded features and different trim options for the interior plus a revised suspension. In other words, nothing to get excited about. However, Honda did add a new variant to the lineup called RST that attempts to give some 'R-Type' flavor to the compact MPV.

And by flavor we don't mean a high-revving four-pot but an exterior styling package that includes among other parts, a new rear bumper with a diffuser and specific tail lights, new 17-inch alloy wheels, body-hugging seats, sportier interior trim with aluminum decor and contrasting red stitching on the leather steering wheel and gear knob along with a sportier suspension setup.

And since the RST is supposed to be "sporty", the Japanese automaker decided to remove the third row of seats for weight saving reasons - that's what Honda supports in its press release. Would of made some sense if the RST was offered with a R-Type powertrain, but since it is available with the same 140HP 1.8-liter and 150HP 2.0-liter i-VTEC engines as the rest of the range, it just makes it less practical and nothing else.
